Feeback from our Workshops and On Site Coaching

This is a two year, Institute Of Leadership & Management accredited, nine module development programme with the aim of enhancing knowledge and skills of existing line managers and those with the potential to move into these roles.
It therefore provides a consistency of approach across our business and also enables delegates to identify and develop relevant behaviour, achieving high performance in themselves, their teams and those that report to them. Previous delegates from the programme have commented on the increased confidence they have gained both personally and professionally as a result of attending. The business has also benefited in the following ways:
- Increased employee retention. - Consistency of management approach and standards - The strengthening of cross-site and departmental relationships. - Recruitment cost savings for senior management positions. - A significant number of programme graduates have gone on to be senior managers within our business and it is therefore seen as a key part of our succession and talent management.
The programme is therefore highly regarded and supported throughout the business, with Board Directors attending, as module sponsors and an ongoing commitment to continue the programme, whatever the economic climate. (We are now delivering programme 4.)
The programme modules are delivered in a fun, genuine and impactful way, that develop delegates both personally and professionally They provide a mix of relevant, best practice skills frameworks, that are related to scenarios, situations and responsibilities that delegates would expect to face in the workplace.
They therefore meet the learning outcomes of the modules, the needs of individual delegates and therefore our business. Importantly, they also give me confidence that we are receiving what we as a business have asked for, thereby justifying our expenditure and indicating clear return on investment.

Being observed by Chris, straight away opened my eyes to little habits I had adopted over the years, which was holding me back without realising in my coaching sessions. When I changed my ways moving forward, straight away I saw an improvement in how I was getting more specific responses of my Coachee’s. With adopting this new way, I was able to advise my TMs of this behaviour who in turn realised they had been doing exactly the same. They fed back that when utilising these new ways, they automatically saw a marked improvement in their coaching sessions. I have found working with evalu8d as very beneficial to me in my coaching role. Having feedback from an external source has been worthwhile and all the positive feedback given does help to boost your confidence and self belief. Having Coach the Coach sessions with Chris has helped me as they have provided an external view of coaching in Vodafone. The evalu8d Coaching Behaviour Matrix is a very useful tool that has supported me greatly in coaching my managers. In fact I have another session this evening in which I will using the tool! Phil is an absolute STAR! He is extremely supportive throughout his coaching program and has guided me through some very challenging coaching sessions! I have seen one of my focus Team Leaders increase their team Customer Resolution scores from around 80% in December and January to 91% in March - this is being maintained so far in April - I am convinced that this is due to the increase in confidence in both my coaching and my manager's. - Paul Gallimore

I feel that the behavioural analysis will really support me in my role as it has improved the way I provide feedback by making it more structured and giving themes to focus on. The training came at a really good time for me as I was making the change from team manager to ops manager. I think that Phil is really inspirational and a great role model for coaching. He is open and honest and makes you feel at ease.

Working with Phil has given me additional confidence and structure to improve the level and quality of coaching that takes place in my department. I found the training to be very beneficial, it boosted my confidence greatly and changed my style and coaching methods, with a large shift towards involving the advisor and a greater emphasis in keeping them engaged. My team members have responded well to this new approach and it has allowed them to generate their own ideas to improve and maintain their performance. I found the way you delivered the training to be very refreshing, enjoyable and energising and I actually had something tangible and some new skills to take away and apply. Too often with other training sessions you come away having learned nothing new. The balance between having group sessions and one to one sessions was ideal and made me feel very well supported. You attending the coaching sessions with my team members and witnessing the real thing rather than just talking theory allowed the training to be tailored and the real time feedback you gave enabled me to quickly see where I was succeeding and where I needed to improve. My view on the coaching experience is two-fold, personal and as the manager of the department. Firstly personally, it opened my eyes to the extra value I could add, both in 1-2-1s and Team Meetings and while I still have a way to go I have to say that some of my best sessions with my team have come after the work we did together and using the Behavioural Analysis methodology. This coming team meeting for example is about Employee Engagement and I would have normally gone through the survey and told the team what we need to do... On Monday they will tell each other and stimulate ideas on how we can get the most from the next survey that goes out. Secondly as a manager of the team I can see much more engagement in the sessions people have together. There is a focus on following the COACh and BA methods, some are finding it challenging, but all are finding it rewarding. I have a survey to give out to the teams that Paul has sent across, but I will do that Early May, because we have an Employee Engagement Survey going out on Monday and survey overload is as bad as having none... I am very confident that your work has built on what was a sound base and that we can move from good to great after your work. Thanks again Scott Barker CSL
