Annual performance reviews can be stressful for everyone, but sheer volume can make them especially so for managers. Employees and managers alike often look at the annual performance review as the corporate equivalent of going to the dentist, but they shouldn't. Well prepared for performance review discussions can not only help bring individual and team performance to the next level, but improve the relationship between employee and manager as well.

Here we share a number of tips to help you to prepare for an appraisal both as a manager and an employee.  In this section we also look at ideas on setting goals and objectives and will be including some excellent helpful links to our performance management guides.
